When the Thunderbolt was made exclusive to Macs, Apple ditched USB 3.0. Good marketing call but bad for the end users. Apple really should’ve kept both interfaces.
Apple says it’s “…striving to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to its customers…”. Well, if they really meant it, Apple should have adopted the standardized mini-USB instead of the Lightning which offers no apparent benefit over the mini-USB. The Lightning interface undoubtedly makes more money for Apple. But the customers get absolutely nothing in return.
Can you guess what Apple’s next interface will be called?
Freddie Mercury has already predicted this almost 40 years ago.
Yes, it will be called the Frightening.
If you’ve been reading the news around the new iPhone5 and the iOS6, then you already know that upgrading to iOS6 will remove Google Maps from your iOS devices. But the upgrade will also wipe out YouTube app that was installed on the device as well. All because of corporate greed and power play. So much for “…striving to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to its customers…” bullcrap. What it really means is “Apple is striving to make products that deliver the best return possible for our board of directors…”
